Mickey Dimitrova is a Bulgarian performance designer whose work delights audiences with playful and daring concepts.

Her approach is text-centred, deeply collaborative, and constantly curious. Mickey’s designs are often multifunctional or play with audience expectations, offering moments of surprise, subversion, and transformation.

Mickey trained at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School (BOVTS) and has a master in Performance Design.

Before her training, she was the Media Production Manager at HowTheLightGetsIn Festival, overseeing tech, staging, and film crews. Her passion for problem-solving and the technical expertise she has gained inform the development and production of her designs.

She also holds a transdisciplinary degree in Liberal Arts from King’s College London, during which she specialised in Film Studies.
